This fall, in the men’s as well as the women’s collection, HOUSE reaches for the rebellious 1990s. The result is a collection inspired by the style born in Seattle, in the dirty guitar sound of such bands as Nirvana, Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam. In short, grunge rules this coming autumn.
Since it first appeared in the 1990s, grunge has managed to enter the fashion mainstream and regularly returns in subsequent seasons. Autumn is an ideal time for grunge. With its trademark careless layers, one simply feels much warmer. Not to mention the fact that you will look as if you’re wearing whatever first fell out of the wardrobe on a cold autumn morning (whether it’s true or not is entirely different matter, of course). The latest HOUSE men’s collection for the coming autumn reaches for that nonchalant style pioneered by Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder and makes it its own.
Grunge colours are minimalist in the HOUSE collection; they are almost monochrome with a black, white and grey mélange, with added maroon and red. Washed out and weathered denim is an important element and checked flannel shirts tied around the waist are a must.
The collection is full of simple, comfortable cuts which allow for lots of rocky, incurably incorrigible combinations. With its sweatshirts, hooded jumpers, shirts, straight-leg jeans, comfortable jersey trousers and a sizeable collection of t-shirts with rock prints, HOUSE makes its mark on this autumn’s style. For the colder days the brand has prepared warm, double-breasted jackets in the military style.
The clothes from the latest autumn collection are already available in HOUSE stores.
